Three ways to get online

Most addresses can get at least two of these. We compare what's actually available where you live and explain the real-world differences.

Cable

Widely available and fast for most homes. Great for streaming, gaming and video calls.

Up to 1 Gig

Fiber

The gold standard where it reaches — symmetrical upload and download and very low lag.

Up to 5 Gig · symmetrical

5G home

Wireless internet with no wires to your home and typically no annual contract.

Contract-free
Right-size it

How much speed do you need?

A rough guide. Heavy 4K streaming, big downloads, smart-home devices and working from home all push you toward the higher tiers.

Internet questions, answered

How much speed do I actually need?

For one or two people, 100–300 Mbps is usually plenty. Households with several heavy users, 4K streaming or frequent large uploads are better on 500 Mbps to 1 Gig. We'll size it to how you really use the internet rather than overselling you.

Cable vs fiber vs 5G — what's the difference?

Cable is fast and widely available. Fiber gives you matching upload and download speeds and the lowest lag, but isn't everywhere yet. 5G home internet is wireless and contract-free, which is great where wired options are limited — though speeds can vary more with signal. We compare whichever of these reach your address.

Can you upgrade my existing plan instead of starting fresh?

Yes. If you already have service, we can look at upgrading your speed, switching to a better-value plan, or moving you to a provider that's become available since you signed up — all in the same call.
